Planned Parenthood reports another record number of annual abortions

The abortion giant this week released its 2024-2025 annual report that showed the business completed its highest number of abortions in one year. While the report includes financial data through July 2025, information about the services it provided lag by one year. Between October 2023 and September 2024, Planned Parenthood performed 434,450 abortions, marking an increase of more than 32,200 from the previous year. The total is the highest number of unborn babies killed by the organization in a single year to date. Meanwhile, cancer screenings and visits to test for and treat sexually transmitted infections all declined compared to the previous year.

What about funding? Last year, the abortion giant reported about $2.1 billion in income as private donations and government grant money all rose compared to the previous year. However, taxpayer funding data also lags by one year and does not reflect the removal of Medicaid reimbursements under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act last summer. Before the funding cut, government grants, contracts, and Medicaid dollars accounted for 39% of the organization’s overall revenue, according to an analysis by the Charlotte Lozier Institute.

The report comes as pro-life organizations are calling on Congress to renew the Medicaid funding cuts that are due to expire in July. Planned Parenthood does not address the economic and social instability that often contributes to women choosing abortion, CEO of the pro-life Human Coalition Jeff Bradford said in an emailed statement to WORLD. He said women deserve to know there are other options available for them and that defunding the abortion giant has led to more of their facilities closing. Last year, 70 Planned Parenthood facilities closed, according to the pro-life group And Then There Were None.
