Palestinian gunmen kill 4, wound several more in West Bank

Israeli authorities on Tuesday said they shot and killed two Palestinians who attacked a gas station in the West Bank. The terrorist group Hamas has claimed both gunmen as members. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that anyone who has attacked his country is “either in the grave or in prison.”

What’s behind the attack? On Monday, Israeli forces fought with Palestinian militants for several hours, during which time Israel deployed military helicopters to the West Bank for the first time in two decades to assist its troops in evacuating. Six Palestinians died during Monday’s violence, and roughly 90 more suffered injuries. Eight Israeli troops were wounded.
