One dead and over a dozen injured in terror attack in Israel
Two Palestinian men were arrested for allegedly stealing three vehicles on Monday and using them to run down over a dozen pedestrians in the city of Ra’anana, northeast of Tel Aviv. Meir Medical Center confirmed that a woman who was hit by one of the cars is dead. One of the attackers also allegedly stabbed a woman and a 60-year-old man during the rampage. The Times of Israel reported an eyewitness account of one of the attackers stabbing another three people before stealing a car.
Do the two men have any terror ties? Authorities confirmed the two suspects are from the West Bank and are in the country illegally. Hamas did not take responsibility for the attack but released a statement praising “the ‘Ra’anana’ attack,” hailing the alleged terrorists as “heroes.” The terror group called the pair’s actions “a natural response to the occupation’s massacres and aggression against the Palestinian people.” The attack followed the 100-day anniversary of Hamas' October 7 invasion on Sunday.
