Number of U.S. victims rises in Cuba mystery attack

More U.S. diplomats in Cuba have come forward complaining of bizarre health problems that the U.S. State Department believes resulted from some sort of malicious attack. At least 21 victims suffer from different combinations of hearing loss, speech problems, and mental fogginess. Investigators initially suspected an attack with a sonic weapon by the Cuban government, but subsequent inquiry has cast doubt on that theory. The Trump administration has yet to identify a single suspect or method of attack. “None of this has a reasonable explanation,” said Fulton Armstrong, a former CIA official who served in Havana before America reopened an embassy there. “It’s just mystery after mystery after mystery.”
