North Korea gloats after ICBM test

Leader Kim Jong Un vowed Wednesday that North Korea would “demonstrate its mettle to the U.S.” and never put its weapons programs up for negotiation. The Trump administration Tuesday night confirmed Pyongyang’s claims that a rocket fired this week was an intercontinental ballistic missile that could travel far enough to reach Alaska. President Donald Trump expressed frustration with China on Wednesday for not doing more to stop North Korea’s weapons development. “Trade between China and North Korea grew almost 40% in the first quarter,” the president tweeted. “So much for China working with us—but we had to give it a try!”
