Missing woman found chained in container
Police found a missing South Carolina woman “chained up like a dog” inside a storage container Thursday. She said she was chained by the neck in the 30-foot by 15-foot container for two months. Authorities, responding to a tip, searched the rural property outside Woodruff, S.C., and heard banging from inside the locked and chained container. Police arrested the property-owner, registered sex offender Todd Christopher Kohlhepp. He is scheduled for a hearing today. The woman, who worked for Kohlhepp, told investigators there may be other bodies buried on the property. Police resumed searching Kohlhepp's property today. “We’re trying to make sure that we don’t have a serial killer on our hands,” said Spartanburg County Sheriff Chuck Wright. The woman and her 32-year-old boyfriend, Charles Carver, went missing in August. Carver is still missing.
