Man arrested after three fatal stabbings in UK
Police arrested a 31-year-old man Tuesday in Nottingham, England for allegedly stabbing three people to death and injuring three others by trying to run over them with a van. The driver seemed to target pedestrians, a witness said. Police found two people dead on one street and a third more than a mile away on a separate street . Nottingham police believe the suspect acted alone, but on Tuesday worked with counterterrorism police to establish the motive, they said.
What happened when they caught him? Kane Brady told GB News that he woke up to shouts of “armed police” and what sounded like gunshots outside. He saw officers holding stun guns and a man being dragged out of a van. The suspect tried to resist arrest, and authorities took a large knife out of the van, Kane said. Police have closed several roads and the city’s tram network has suspended all services.
