Louisiana, parts of Texas get significant flooding

A strong line of storms dumped as much as 18 inches of rain on Lake Charles, La. The weather system left western Louisiana mopping up again from record flooding on Tuesday and Wednesday. The state’s Department of Health has confirmed three deaths after people drove vehicles into high water.

Is there more coming? National Weather Service meteorologist Alex Donato said south central Louisiana and southeastern Texas could get up to 4 more inches of rain due to incoming moisture from the Gulf of Mexico. Flood watches on Wednesday covered most of Louisiana and a large part of Texas, as well as parts of Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Mississippi.
