London teen who joined ISIS killed in Syria

A London teenager who traveled to Syria to join Islamic State (ISIS) is believed to have been killed by a Russian airstrike, the BBC reported. Kadiza Sultana and two of her school friends ran away to Syria in February 2015 after telling their parents they were going out for the day. Sultana had contact with her family since she left and said she wanted to come home, but the risk of making an escape was too great. “I think she found out pretty quickly that the propaganda doesn’t match up with the reality,” the family’s lawyer, Tasnime Akunjee, told the BBC.
