Israel recovers bodies of seven more hostages

The Israel Defense Forces on Friday said its troops had recovered the hostages’ bodies in the Jabaliya refugee camp. During those same operations, the IDF says Israeli troops destroyed miles of tunnels and killed hundreds of Palestinian terrorists.

What sort of area was this? The IDF reported that Hamas had seized civilian buildings and turned them into a military compound. Israeli soldiers found weapons and manufacturing stations for improvised explosive devices, or IEDs, in the compound, according to the military. They also found and destroyed rocket-launching systems that Hamas had set up in the area, the IDF said.

What about the hostages? Who were they? The IDF called the hostages kidnapping victims but didn’t specify when the crimes took place. The military said IDF troops returned the bodies to Israel for burial.
