Indiana Supreme Court reprimands AG over abortion comments
The state’s high court ruled on Thursday that Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita had engaged in attorney misconduct for criticizing an abortionist. Obstetrician-gynecologist Caitlin Bernard, during a July 2022 Indianapolis Star interview, had discussed performing an abortion on a 10-year-old rape victim. Rokita later called Bernard an “abortion activist acting as a doctor” during an interview for a Fox News show. He alleged she had a history of failing to report instances of abuse.
What does this reprimand entail? Rokita has to pay $250 in court fees. Indiana’s medical licensing board earlier this year reprimanded the abortionist for violating her patient’s confidentiality by publicly claiming credit for performing the abortion.
