Hurricane Lee remains out at sea
The hurricane on Sunday was moving northwest through the Atlantic Ocean as a Category 3 storm. It grew to a Category 5 storm on Thursday night but was downgraded Friday morning. Its strength is expected to fluctuate as it travels north, roughly parallel to the U.S. East Coast.
What areas will the storm affect? It is not expected to make landfall. Dangerous rip currents were expected along most of the U.S. East Coast beginning Sunday, the National Hurricane Center said.
