Graham defends pro-life bill

Sen. Lindsey Graham said Tuesday that his bill that would safeguard babies from abortion after 15 weeks of gestation also allows states to protect them earlier. He told Fox News that allowing abortion up to birth puts the United States alongside China and North Korea, while many European countries limit it to 15 weeks. Graham, a Republican from South Carolina, based his bill on research that says babies can feel pain after 15 weeks of gestation.

How might this affect midterms? Democrats have already invested more than an estimated $124 million this year in television advertising referencing abortion. In the 2018 midterms, they spent less than $6 million. Graham said Republicans should make their pro-life convictions known. He’s concerned that many Democrats support abortion up to birth and said Republicans should publicize that.
