IRAN: The report stirring a lot of speculation about Iran’s ability to make weapons-grade uranium within a month is good reading. It offers new evidence of a covert plant that allows the regime “cascade configuration and relatively fast breakout times.” Translated, that means Iran has enough centrifuges and enough stockpiles now to quickly weaponize its uranium. Even I can understand this, so it’s a wonder the Israelis appear to be the only others who get it.
NIGERIA: A five-hour gun battle left over 120 dead after Boko Haram launched an attack in Damaturu, the capital of Yobe state in the country’s north. The terrorists struck army barracks and police headquarters, as well as public buildings and residences, and the city of 88,000 remains under a curfew.
BRITAIN: The U.K. will become the first country to issue an Islamic bond, and will open a new Islamic Index on the London Stock Exchange, announced Prime Minister David Cameron.
