Globe Trot: Analyst promises evidence of Clinton Foundation fraud

UNITED STATES: This weekend, Wall Street analyst Charles Ortel plans to upload the first of 48 exhibits showing fraudulent activities by the Clinton Foundation. Ortel told me this week he has the documentation to demonstrate Clinton entities have broken state and federal law and have never undergone outside audits as required. Notably, too, the Lois Lerner IRS never called them out on it.

Look for an upcoming story in WORLD concerning Clinton activities in Nigeria while Hillary Clinton served as secretary of state.

CHINA: Yang Maodong, known also by the pen name Guo Feixiong, is in “a critical state” in a Chinese prison, according to his sister, a practicing physician, who visited him April 26. Yang is a Christian human rights lawyer who has been jailed and rejailed over the last decade for “disturbing public order.”

IRAQ: Earlier today, ISIS massacred 16 Real Madrid soccer fans at a Baghdad cafe, capping a week of raw violence where nearly 100 residents have been killed and about 200 injured in a string of bombings. Reports of a recently “weakened” ISIS, in my view, are overrated until the militant group is decisively defeated. And Baghdad has long been vulnerable to its attacks despite $30 billion in U.S. tax dollars (and lives) to train Iraq’s army.

With Iraqi and U.S. forces gathering for a battle to retake the city of Mosul, there remain too many questions about U.S. plans to defeat ISIS. Last year, I crossed paths with Ann Voskamp in Iraq, and today she is kind enough to let me cross into her blogosphere with a guest post from They Say We Are Infidels. Thank you, too, for good and helpful feedback to the book I’m receiving on the road and in my inbox.

WEEKEND LONG READ: The underwater world of deep sea cave diving, and this true story of survival and recovery in Norway, are a parable on the high cost of choosing the narrow way.
