Germany arrests three migrants for ISIS ties
Authorities have arrested three Syrian men suspected of migrating to Germany to set up an Islamic State (ISIS) sleeper cell that could carry out acts of terror. German Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere said the men, ages 17, 18, and 26, used the same immigration channels as two terrorists who blew themselves up outside France’s national stadium the night of the November 2015 attacks in Paris. Officials said the men trained with ISIS in Syria and received passports and money to go to Germany via Turkey and Greece as refugees. They did not appear to have any concrete terror plans, de Maziere said, but were possibly keeping themselves ready for future instructions from ISIS.
