Fugitive wanted in multiple jurisdictions arrested in Arkansas
Arkansas law enforcement on Thursday morning arrested Stacy Lee Drake, 50, who was wanted in Oklahoma for allegedly committing three homicides stemming from two separate carjackings, according to a bulletin by Arkansas authorities. Drake, whose last known address was in Alabama, was also wanted in multiple jurisdictions on charges including aggravated robbery, carjacking, and murder, the bulletin said. He is being held at the Conway County Detention Center in Morrilton, Ark.
Why was Drake wanted by authorities? Oklahoma law enforcement identified Drake as a suspect in a double homicide that occurred Tuesday night in Sequoyah County. Authorities said Drake also stole a vehicle from the scene and fled about 130 miles to central Arkansas. Law enforcement officials found the truck in Morrilton on Tuesday night, according to a social media post by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation. On Thursday, Arkansas police and sheriff’s agencies found Drake and arrested him in a wooded area in Morrilton, according to a bulletin by the Arkansas Department of Public Safety.
