Fox News hit with another sexual harassment lawsuit
Another former Fox News host has sued the network for sexual harassment. Andrea Tantaros stopped appearing on Fox News in April because of a contract dispute over a book she wrote without getting network clearance. Tantaros said Fox executives raised the book issue to silence her complaints of harassment. Her job “devolved into a nightmare,” she claimed, in which former CEO Roger Ailes made sexually demeaning comments and the wardrobe department forced her to strip down in front of them to pick her on-air clothing. The suit comes after Ailes resigned because of harassment allegations made by another former anchor, Gretchen Carlson. “Fox News masquerades as a defender of traditional family values, but behind the scenes, it operates like a sex-fueled, Playboy Mansion-like cult, steeped in intimidation, indecency and misogyny,” Tantaros charged in the suit. Fox News said today it can’t comment on pending litigation.
