Foreign passport holders allowed to begin exiting Gaza

Egypt opened the Rafah crossing on Wednesday for foreign nationals and some injured Palestinians to leave Gaza for the first time since Hamas terrorists attacked Israel last month. Israel and Egypt agreed to a list of about 500 people with foreign citizenship who can be allowed to leave Gaza through a deal mediated by Qatar. Passport holders from more than a dozen countries are on the list. About 80 injured Palestinians in need of medical treatment will be transported out of Gaza, said Egyptian border officials.

What else is happening in the war? Israel on Tuesday launched strikes against the Jabalia refugee camp in Gaza, killing about 50 people, said officials with Gaza’s Hamas-run health ministry. Israel said Hamas terrorists were operating in tunnels under the civilian camp. The Israel Defense Forces said the strike killed Hamas commander Ibrahim Biari, who the IDF says was involved in the Oct. 7 attack that killed at least 1,400 Israelis, most of whom were civilians.
