FBI raid kills man charged with threatening president

FBI agents shot and killed Craig Robertson on Wednesday morning while attempting to serve him with arrest and search warrants. The raid took place at a home in Provo, Utah, just hours ahead of a planned visit to the state by President Joe Biden. Robertson was armed at the time of the shooting, the Associated Press and CNN reported. Robertson was under investigation for making violent threats against Biden and other government officials.

What did Robertson say? Robertson posted dozens of violent messages and photos of weapons on Facebook since March mentioning Biden and other high-ranking officials, according to a criminal complaint filed in court. FBI agents had visited Robertson previously, and he had told them not to return without a warrant. Robertson continued to post social media messages as recently as Tuesday, the BBC reported.
