Family of eight found dead in home
Police found three adults and five minors dead in their home on Wednesday after conducting a welfare check in Enoch, Utah. The causes of death appeared to be gunshot wounds, but police said they don’t believe there is a public threat or any suspects at large. The police routinely perform welfare checks when individuals are not seen for an extended period of time.
Who was the family? The family has not been publicly identified, but Enoch City Manager Rob Dotson said many members of the community knew the family from a local Latter-day Saints group. The wife had recently filed for divorce from her husband, according to court records obtained by local media KSL-TV. The husband worked as an insurance agent. The five children attended schools in the Iron County School District, according to a letter sent by the district.
