Drones target Russian oil refineries
Flames arose from a distillation unit at the Afipsky refinery in Krasnodar, Russia, late Tuesday from a drone attack. A second refinery, Ilsky, also reported another drone attack early Wednesday morning in Krasnodar, according to Gov. Veniamin Kondratyev. The attacks occurred about 50 miles from Russia’s largest oil export gateway, Novorossiysk. There were no casualties as a result of the attacks.
Where did the drones come from? Russia suspects Ukraine is behind these attacks, although Ukraine has not commented on this nor other drone attacks on May 30. It denied involvement with drone attacks on civilians on May 4 and 5.
