Driver arrested after crash near Capitol
A driver is in custody after ramming a vehicle into a police cruiser near the U.S. Capitol this morning. The woman, described as an “erratic and aggressive driver,” nearly struck officers in the area and hit at least one other vehicle before fleeing on foot. Police chased her down and shots were fired, but no one was injured during the arrest, Capitol Police spokeswoman Eva Malecki said, noting the crime appeared to have no connection to terrorism.
