Tornadoes kill at least three people in Oklahoma

More than a dozen tornadoes were reported Wednesday night across Oklahoma, Kansas, and Iowa. At least three people, including two residents of Cole, died after eight tornadoes hit Oklahoma, according to local law enforcement. The National Weather Service said one home in Cole sustained EF3 tornado damage. About 16,000 homes across the state were without power Thursday afternoon.

Is the storm going to affect other areas? The storm system that spawned the tornadoes moved east on Thursday. States from Texas to Illinois were forecast to see severe weather with tornadoes, hail, and strong winds. The storm front is forecast to move into the Southeast over the weekend.
