Disney to add alligator warning signs
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa will add warning signs about alligators after the death of a 2-year-old there Tuesday. A 7-foot-long gator snatched the boy as he waded in shallow water at the resort, located across a lake from the Magic Kingdom in Orlando. The beach had a “no swimming” sign, but no warnings about gators. Florida locals know well the dangers of the reptiles, who number more than 1 million throughout the state, but many out-of-state tourists aren’t aware of the alligator threat. Parents Matt and Melissa Graves of Omaha, Neb., released a brief statement Thursday saying they were devastated and asking for privacy.
