Deadly weather strikes Midwest, South

A storm system that stretched from Texas to the Canadian Maritime Provinces brought deadly tornadoes and flooding to parts of the United States this past weekend. Flooding caused three deaths in Michigan and Kentucky, and two people died in tornadoes in Kentucky and Arkansas. The storms hit hardest in the Upper Midwest and Appalachia. More than 20,000 people lost power in Michigan, and the governors of Missouri, Indiana, and Illinois declared disaster emergencies.
