Brewery employee kills co-workers, self
A 51-year-old Milwaukee man opened fire at one of the nation’s largest breweries on Wednesday, killing five people before taking his own life. The suspect worked at the 160-year-old “Miller Valley” complex owned by the Molson Coors Brewing Co.
Why did he do it? Authorities have not offered a motive or released details of the shooting. Police said they would not release the identities of the victims for at least 24 hours. There were no other injuries. The office will remain closed for the rest of the week, and the brewery shut down “for the time being,” Molson Coors CEO Gavin Hattersley said. He told employees in an email that “there are no words to express the deep sadness many of us are feeling right now.”
