Bombs explode outside Istanbul soccer stadium
Two blasts after a soccer match in Istanbul have killed 29 people and wounded 166 others, Turkey’s Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu said today. The Saturday night bombings killed 27 police officers and two civilians. The Hurriyet Daily News, a local English-language newspaper, reported the bomb targeted a bus full of riot police. In an address earlier today, Soylu said authorities had arrested 10 people in connection with the attacks.
