Bolt finishes off a triple trifecta with Rio gold medals
Usain Bolt, the undisputed “fastest man alive,” finished his Olympics on Friday with a gold medal in the 4x100-meter relay. Bolt has run three events in each of the last three Summer Games (the 100, 200, and 4x100) and won gold in all nine of them. The Jamaican, who turns 30 on Sunday, insisted during the Rio de Janeiro games that this was his last Olympics. “The pressure is real,” he said. “I look at it as an accomplishment.” The American men’s relay team competed in the 4x100 finals, but was disqualified for an early baton pass, which the team is contesting. The U.S. women won gold in their 4x100 race, successfully defending their first-place win in London four years ago.
