Biden signs contraception order
President Joe Biden on Friday issued an executive order expanding access to contraception nationwide a day ahead of the anniversary of the fall of Roe v. Wade. The rule seeks to lower the cost and provide more ways to get contraceptives, including the Plan B “morning after” pill. Meanwhile, Planned Parenthood and the pro-abortion groups Emily’s List and NARAL Pro-Choice America on Friday endorsed Biden’s 2024 reelection campaign.
What are Republicans doing? Former Vice President and current White House hopeful Mike Pence gathered with other GOP presidential candidates on Friday in Washington at the annual Faith & Freedom Coalition convention. Pence said that all Republicans running for president in 2024 should support protecting babies from abortion after 15 weeks of gestation. He said that should be a “minimum nationwide standard.”
