Biden meets with leaders of Mexico and Canada
The leaders convened on Monday and Tuesday for discussions about immigration, drug trafficking, and supply lines. Other topics included energy policy and climate change. This is President Joe Biden’s first trip to Mexico during his presidency.
What has come out of the discussions? Canada agreed on Monday to purchase 88 F-35 fighter planes from U.S. manufacturer Lockheed Martin. Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador said he will consider accepting more expelled migrants from the United States after President Biden previously announced a crackdown on illegal immigration from four countries.
