Bernie Sanders endorses Hillary Clinton
The race for the Democratic nomination for president of the United States is officially over, with self-proclaimed democratic-socialist Bernie Sanders endorsing former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. The independent senator from Vermont joined Clinton at a campaign rally in Portsmouth, N.H., today to announce his full support. “This campaign is not really about Hillary Clinton, or Donald Trump, or Bernie Sanders,” he said with Clinton by his side. “This campaign is about the needs of the American people and addressing the very serious crises that we face. And there is no doubt in my mind that as we head into November, Hillary Clinton is far and away the best candidate to do that.”
