Armed shopper stops mall shooter
A man with a rifle opened fire in the food court of an Indianapolis-area mall Sunday, killing three people and injuring two. A bystander who was legally carrying a firearm shot and killed the suspect before he could do more harm.
What do we know about the people involved? Police said the bystander was a 22-year-old man from nearby Bartholomew County. Four of the victims were female and one was male, Greenwood Police Department Chief Jim Ison said. One of the injured is a 12-year-old girl, who was in stable condition Sunday. Police said they would release more information about the shooting Monday.
