American woman killed in London knife attack

An American woman in her 60s died late Wednesday in London after a 19-year-old man went on a stabbing spree just blocks from the British Museum in an area popular with tourists. Five other people suffered wounds in the attack. Police do not believe the attacker had terror ties, describing him instead as suffering from a mental health crisis. The young man has not been named but is described as a Norwegian national of Somali origin. Police arrested him as he ran from the scene. None of those injured had life-threatening wounds.
