MARY REICHARD, HOST: A mystery vigilante in Mexico is being called the “Batman of Lagos de Moreno.”
Police say he’s been chasing suspected motorbike thieves around town, then duct-taping them to lampposts.
At least five men were found tied to street poles over a 10-day stretch this summer. Some with the alleged stolen motorbikes right next to them.
Some had “thief” written on their faces … in Spanish.
Others reportedly had mustaches or cat whiskers drawn on them.
But police aren’t treating this like a superhero story.
Officials say the tied-up men are victims.
Now authorities are looking for the vigilante. So far, no arrests.
It’s The World and Everything in It.
