Kicker: Zombie activity

MARY REICHARD, HOST: The lights went out in Lake Worth, Florida Sunday night.

A routine power outage— not terribly unusual.

But the text message blasted out to 7,000 residents was rather odd. It stated the blackout was “due to extreme zombie activity.”

Now, that was obviously a bogus alert. City officials say they are investigating.

But they couldn’t resist a bit of tongue-in-cheek of their own. They posted to Facebook: “Lake Worth does not have any zombie activity currently.”
