MARY REICHARD, HOST: We’ve all had days when we wish we could stay home from work or get a babysitter for the day. But we soldier on and do what’s required of us anyway.
Not everybody sees it like that, though. One man in Florida thought he had a better idea.
Brian Anderson concocted a story. He told 911 he’d been robbed and carjacked.
When the sheriff’s deputies arrived to investigate, they quickly discovered it was all a hoax. Anderson did confess, but that doesn’t mean he’s out of trouble.
Now Anderson faces charges of misusing the 911 system and knowingly giving false information to law enforcement.
So that bright idea to get out of work? Not so much. Putting in a day’s work might’ve been a whole lot easier than this.
