WORLD Radio - Kicker: Wall-busting black bear

MEGAN BASHAM, HOST: Do you remember those old Kool-Aid commercials where a giant anthropomorphic, obviously indestructible, glass jar is able to bust through walls?

AUDIO: Oh, yeah! Uh-oh!

Yeah, a black bear did that for real.

According to the Estes Park Police Department in Colorado—a black bear, likely drawn by the scent of food, entered someone’s home, presumably right through an open door.

And then got confused about the way out.

But this bear did create his own exit.

I’ll quote from the police statement: “Upon officer’s arrival, said bear forcibly breached a hole in the wall like the ‘Kool-Aid Man’ and made its escape.”

Public service announcement, my friends: If you live in an area with a healthy bear population, you need to keep ALL windows and doors locked!

It’s The World and Everything in It.
