Kicker: Swiss flyby takes a wrong turn

MARY REICHARD, HOST: The Swiss town of Mumliswil got an apology this week from the commander of the Swiss air force. That’s because fighter jets rattled the place with a deafening low-altitude flyby. 

They were supposed to fly over the town of Langenbruck for the celebration of a local aviation pioneer. 

But the pilots got distracted by an unauthorized helicopter in the area. The team leader looked down and saw what he thought was a tent for the Langenbruck celebration. 

Wrong! That tent was in Mumliswil where a yodeling festival was going on!
