WORLD Radio - Kicker: Stuck on a plane

MARY REICHARD, HOST: It’s one thing to wake up in a strange place and feel disoriented for a time.

But for Tiffani Adams, this took on a whole new meaning.

ADAMS: And it was completely pitch black. I thought this is a nightmare. This is not happening.

Adams was aboard an Air Canada flight from Quebec City to Toronto. She’d fallen asleep. Sound asleep. So sound asleep that everyone else, including the crew, had left the plane and locked up.

ADAMS: I’m so scared that I’m gonna touch something that’s wrong but I knew I had to do something and I found a flashlight, and I was just like so happy. That was like the best moment ever.

Adams managed to signal a luggage cart operator for help.

Air Canada officials apologized. But we’ve not heard the last of this. How do I know? Because she hired a lawyer.

It’s The World and Everything in It.
