MYRNA BROWN, HOST: Seven years ago in Minnesota, teenagers Zach Zarembinski and Isabelle Richards lay in separate hospital rooms. Each in comas, each after suffering separate accidents.
Their mothers kept vigil together, told to expect the worst. Here’s Isabell’s mother, Esther. Audio from the Good News Network:
ESTHER WITZBACHER: She had shards of glass still in her hair and she was unconscious.
Zach awoke from his coma first. He reassured Isabell’s family she’d wake up, too. And she did.
Years later, they reconnected and started a podcast together called Hope in Healing.
ZACH: He has redeemed our stories.
Back at the hospital where they met, Zach read Scripture to Isabelle and then popped the question:
ZACH: Will you marry me?
ISABELLE: Yes!
From coma patients to bride and groom.
MARY REICHARD, HOST: Love works in mysterious ways!
BROWN: It’s The World and Everything in It.
