MARY REICHARD, HOST: You’ve heard of wedding crashers? Well, a couple of pelicans became graduation crashers Saturday at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California.
AUDIO: Pelican noises
The pair of pelicans landed amid the stunned audience, flapping their 7-foot wings.
They made their way up to the red carpet and halted the seaside ceremony, briefly.
One of the birds didn’t take kindly to being shooed away— and snapped at an official.
The big birds eventually waddled off back toward the beach.
No one— fowl or faculty— was injured during the brief encounter.
