MEGAN BASHAM, HOST: Golfers are used to hazards like ponds and sand traps. And in Florida, add lounging alligators to the list.
But for Joanne Sadowsky, a gator improved her golf game.
When she teed off on the second hole, the ball began to slice toward the water. But just then, the gator snatched the ball right out of the air — no doubt mistaking it for something tastier.
But it saved her from a hazard penalty, and earned a free drop!
Still, she didn’t win the tournament. Sadowsky’s lament: “We came close but were just out of the money.”
