Kicker: Failure to launch

MARY REICHARD, HOST: The movie Failure to Launch showcased the problem many parents today have getting their adult children to move out.

Mark and Christina Rotondo in Camillus, New York spent months trying to get their unemployed 30-year old son Michael to get a job and a place of his own.

After giving him numerous demands in writing— the fed up couple took him to court.

Faced with immediate eviction— Rotondo told the judge—

ROTONDO: A 6-month notice to quit is a reasonable amount of time for someone who has been depending on persons for support.

The judge didn’t see it that way and ordered Rotundo out. He says he’ll appeal.
