MARY REICHARD, HOST: The city of Pascagoula, Mississippi, recently dedicated a historical marker—commemorating events from nearly a half century ago.
There’s nothing unusual about that, except—not everyone is convinced the event in question actually happened.
EICHER: Count me among that group.
Pascagoula residents Charles Hickson and Calvin Parker claimed that on October 11th, 1973, aliens abducted them. The creatures examined them for about 30 minutes aboard a UFO and then returned them to Earth.
Both reported it to the sheriff, and a hospital checked them out.
The story has became known worldwide and last week, the city placed a historical marker near the spot where the men said aliens beamed them up.
It’s The World and Everything in It.
