MARY REICHARD, HOST: A man in Missouri was caught illegally poaching deer.
Officials nabbed David Berry Jr. in one of the largest deer poaching cases in state history. The prosecuting attorney said hundreds of animals were taken under cover of darkness. Berry and others of his family took only the heads and antlers, and left the bodies to waste. It was all about greed and ego.
As part of his sentence, Judge Robert George ordered Berry to watch a movie.
And not just any movie!
AUDIO: Come on, get up Bambi! Get up, try again!
Berry must view the Walt Disney classic Bambi once a month for the next year inside the Lawrence County jail. That, in addition to thousands of dollars in fines and court costs and suspension of hunting privileges.
