MARY REICHARD, HOST: Monday was just another routine day for U.S. Border Patrol agents working in Brownsville, Texas.
Three people tried to sneak across the border from Mexico but fled when agents confronted them.
One of the three dropped a small black duffel bag. That’s when things became anything but routine.
Inside the bag, the agents found a sleeping baby tiger. The 4-month old feline appeared to be sedated.
Happy news: he’s now in good hands at a local Brownsville zoo where officials named him Niño.
