MARY REICHARD, HOST: Some will go to any length to get into the Guinness Book of World Records.
A bunch of people in Edmonton, Alberta, wanted to dance their way to a world record at the annual K-Days event.
But not just any dance.
Maybe you’ve heard the Baby Shark song for kids? The video for it went viral. Billions of views on YouTube.
So to set the record, more than a thousand people reenacted the Baby Shark dance from the video.
AUDIO: 3-2-1 Everybody count with me!
Lindsay Crowne organized the event. She told CTV News they’re still waiting to hear back from Guinness.
CROWNE: There’s a lot of rules for Guinness. It’s a very strict process, and we had to have the right number of volunteers, right number of cameras watching, lots of little technical things.
But the mass of dancers had no doubt that they had just Baby Sharked more than anybody ever before!
AUDIO: New record!! Whooo!
It’s The World and Everything in It.
