Kicker: A welcome wedding crasher

MARY REICHARD, HOST: A man and a woman tied the knot in the Shire! A Lord of the Rings- themed ceremony in New Zealand’s Hobbiton, the movie set.

BAGGINS: You’re late!

GANDALF: A wizard is never late, Frodo Baggins.

But this go round, Gandalf wasn’t the one showing up. It was Frodo himself! Okay, well, the actor who played Frodo, Elijah Wood. He just happened to be visiting the set and walked right into the wedding Hobbit style!

CROWD: (gasps, cheers)

Hundreds of couples marry at Hobbiton every year, but this couple can say their ceremony was crashed by a real member of the cast.

LINDSAY MAST, HOST: I think they should’ve asked him to be the ring bearer!

MARY REICHARD, HOST: Oh, that would’ve been precious!
