WORLD Radio - Kicker: A printer jam

MARY REICHARD, HOST: Traffic backed up on Atlanta’s Interstate 2-85 Wednesday morning. Any Atlanta native will tell you that’s hardly breaking news.

But this was worse than usual.

Stuck drivers started receiving traffic alerts on their iPhones. They soon realized they wouldn’t going anywhere until the ink dried.

You see, a tractor-trailer had overturned on the highway. But getting the truck out of the way wasn’t the problem.

It was the truck’s cargo

40,000 pounds of printer ink! On the road. All of it.

Cleanup crews got to work spreading a drying agent around to sop up the mess.

I think it’s safe to say this marked the first time drivers got caught in a printer jam.

It’s The World and Everything in It.
